Have you ever gone forest bathing? You know how good being in nature can make us feel. We have all known it our whole lives. Imagine the sounds of the forest, the scent of the trees, the sunlight playing through the leaves, the fresh, clean air, the moss, and the rocks, and even the dirt; all these things give us a sense of comfort and wellbeing. These things ease our stress and worry. Being in nature helps us to relax and to think more clearly and creatively. Being in nature can restore your mood and give you back your energy and vitality, and refresh and rejuvenate us. In Japan, they practice something called forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku. Shinrin in Japanese means forest, and yoku means bath. So shinrin-yoku means bathing in the forest atmosphere, or taking in the forest through our senses. I found this mossy log in Washington state one morning while I was in a guided forest bathing experience. It was amazing. I highly recommend it.
